Welcome to Midnights Counselling

Counselling that supports your healing and growth.

Guidance, support and care for your emotional wellbeing.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and it’s normal to need a little support along the way. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges at your own pace.

The concept of “midnights” reflects those quiet, sleepless hours when our thoughts feel loudest and our emotions are hardest to ignore. It is often when the world is still that we experience moments of emotional honesty; when worries surface, unanswered questions arise, and unresolved feelings return.

In my counselling work, the idea of midnights is used as a gentle invitation to explore what shows up in these moments, the thoughts we avoid during the day, the emotions we push aside, and the patterns that keep us awake. By bringing these midnight experiences into therapy, clients can safely unpack them in the light of day, transforming restless nights into opportunities for insight, understanding, and meaningful change.

What to expect from a counselling session

A counselling session creates a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly about your experiences and feelings with a trained professional who listens without judgement. It is for anyone who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, depressed and in need of time and space to reflect and understand themselves better.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session?

To book a session, please complete the ‘Contact Us’ form on the website. Once you have submitted the form, I’ll be in touch to discuss availability and the next steps.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or want a safe space to talk things through, counselling may be helpful. People come to counselling for many reasons such as anxiety, low mood, wanting to improve confidence, work through difficult experiences, or better understand them selves. The first session gives you the chance to see how it feels and decide if it is right for you.

There’s no set number of sessions, this will depend on your individual needs, what you’d like to work on and the pace that feels right for you. Some people attend counselling for a short period to explore a specific issue, while others choose to work long term. We can review this together as your therapy progresses.

-Room Based sessions take place in a private therapy room and offer a quiet private space to talk.

-Walk and talk sessions take place outdoors in local parks which suit those who feel more able to open up while walking side by side in an open space.

Both offer the same therapeutic support, while walk and talk sessions also provide the additional benefits of being outdoors, such as fresh air and gentle movement.
