Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a session?
To book a session, please complete the ‘Contact Us’ form on the website. Once you have submitted the form, I’ll be in touch to discuss availability and the next steps.
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or want a safe space to talk things through, counselling may be helpful. People come to counselling for many reasons such as anxiety, low mood, wanting to improve confidence, work through difficult experiences, or better understand themselves. The first session gives you the chance to see how it feels and decide if it is right for you.
How many sessions will I need?
There’s no set number of sessions, this will depend on your individual needs, what you’d like to work on and the pace that feels right for you. Some people attend counselling for a short period to explore a specific issue, while others choose to work long term. We can review this together as your therapy progresses.
What’s the difference between room-based and walk and talk sessions?
-Room Based sessions take place in a private therapy room and offer a quiet private space to talk.
-Walk and talk sessions take place outdoors in local parks which suit those who feel more able to open up while walking side by side in an open space.
Both offer the same therapeutic support, while walk and talk sessions also provide the additional benefits of being outdoors, such as fresh air and gentle movement.
