Room-Based Sessions:

Walk and talk therapy is a form of counselling that takes place in a private, quiet therapy room, providing a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without distractions.

Walk and Talk Sessions:

Walk and talk sessions are a form of counselling that takes place outdoors in local parks. The client and counsellor walk together at a slow pace rather than sitting in a therapy room. This approach can feel more relaxed and natural helping clients open up more easily while reducing the pressure of a face to face conversation. The gentle physical movement and exposure to nature can lower stress, improve mood and support emotional regulation.

What to expect from a counselling session

A counselling session creates a confidential, supportive space where you can talk openly about your experiences and feelings with a trained professional who listens without judgement. It is for anyone who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, depressed and in need of time and space to reflect and understand themselves better.

That being said, you don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people come to explore patterns, improve relationships, build confidence, or gain clarity during times of change or hardship, and use their sessions to maintain good mental wellbeing.

Counselling can be beneficial because it helps you feel heard and understood, develop healthier ways of coping, and gain insight that supports personal growth and emotional wellbeing. Therapy works best when a meaningful relationship between the client and counsellor has developed to create a safe and trusting space where honest exploration can happen which is why results don’t always feel immediate but happen gradually over time.

I also offer walk and talk therapy, a counselling approach that takes place outdoors while we walk together. This relaxed, natural setting can help you open up more easily, reduce stress, improve mood, and support emotional wellbeing. It’s particularly beneficial for managing anxiety, depression, or everyday pressures, while also promoting clarity of thought and creativity.

Abuse and Coercive Control

The wording as follows please “ Abuse and coercive control can have a significant impact on a person’s sense of safety, confidence, and self-worth. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore these experiences without judgement. By gently making sense of what you have been through, therapy can help you rebuild self-trust, strengthen boundaries, and move towards a greater sense of control in your life.”
